Verdict
Ardashir can give Nigel Twiston-Davies another winner at Perth, with the Philip Hobbs pair, Kalambari and In The Frame expected to give him most to do. Ardashir finally got his act together when scoring at Bangor in April, the combination of soft ground and the three mile trip contributing to his success. He was beaten on his last two starts on faster ground, but should have really won at Fakenham. However, a blunder at the last sealed his fate. Off the track since, he will line up fresh, and although the drop back in trip is a slight negative, if he sets out in front, he may go on and make all. Kalambari probably needed his return when second at Newton Abbot and should go well, but he does need to be delivered as late as possible. In addition, Richard Johnson rides the stable's other runner In The Frame who was pulled up as though something was amiss at Stratford. His earlier success at Wincanton gives him a chance as well. There is plenty of local interest, but none make much appeal, although Mount Pekan and Flat performer Sherwood Forest are worth a small mention. However, Ardashir is taken to gallop his rivals into the ground in the opener.
