Verdict
Galway Breeze has been found a suitable opportunity to reel off a third straight win, with Found Gold his only serious rival. This does appear to rest between the two at the top of the weights, and preference is for Galway Breeze who opened his account on these shores in style at Cartmel, having earlier been rather fortunate to score in a beginner's chase at Ballinrobe. The way he disposed of Ceresfield last time suggests that he has a bright future over fences as long as the handicapper does not burden him too much. The trip is in his favour today, and if the ground were any softer, he would be an even more confident choice. Even so, he is the one to beat, with Found Gold needing to improve on this his chase debut. Jonjo O'Neill's charge also had winning form in soft ground in Ireland so will pay to follow when the ground turns more testing. Of the rest, Gabla needs to jump better, and Jefertiti failed to take advantage in a poor contest here last time. He needs further anyway, and in a moderate affair, Galway Breeze should be the answer.
