Verdict

Bouggietopieces is another who was due to compete here yesterday and he's 7lb higher than when just prevailing on fast ground over course and distance earlier in the month. Endeavor has never won over a trip this far or in 15 previous visits to this track while Cayman Islands continues to disappoint. But Pekanheim won twice at Hexham earlier this summer while last year's winner Gleann Na Ndochais and Quito Du Tresor are regulars here and the latter will improve for a recent third at Southwell. WEST END has a poor strike-rate and two ways of running but should be thereabouts if in the mood and Kim Bailey hasn't sent him this far north for the good of his health. Cayman Islands and Gin Cobbler will probably set a fast pace and that will suit the eight-year-old, who stays further.
