Verdict

The feature event looks wide open and a chance can be given to most of the field. However, recent solid form is generally thin on the ground, and preference is for the rejuvenated MINOUCHKA over Native Coral and Caipiroska. The last named is very consistent and comes here after a good win last time. This course and distance scorer receives weight from most of his rivals and he can play a leading role. Native Coral is 6lbs higher for a win here last time. That was over a shorter trip, but his stamina is proven as is his ability to handle any type of ground. Minouchka had enjoyed limited success under rules, but a winning hunter chase campaign seems to have rejuvenated her. She won a novices¿ contest last time in good style, and though this is a major jump in grade, Minouchka looks well treated and can lift this lucrative prize.
