Verdict
This looks like a good opportunity for The Newsman to regain the winning thread and he is taken to get the better of Brush Park and Falcon Du Coteau -although Canadiane should not be too far off the pace at the finish if she consents to put in something like she is capable of. However, she has not always been the most reliable of performers and is not one to go overboard about in what may develop into a tactical affair. Therefore, The Newsman, who may be able to dictate his own pace in a field of this size, is given the nod on grounds of his consistency - he has a win percentage of almost 30 percent from his previous 24 runs. The Newsman's claims are also enhanced by his record at this track and he is given a confident vote in this company.
