Verdict
It is hard to ignore the claims of Greensmith Lane in this company and the Bernard Llewellyn-trained gelding is selected over Cliquey and My Sharp Grey, although a move for Sharp Spice, who hails from a yard that does well with its recruits from the flat, will be interesting. However, Greensmith Lane arrives here at the top of his game at the moment and looks to have been found a good opportunity in his quest for the hat-trick of wins today. Emily-Jane Jones gets on well with the seven-year-old and the partnership will be hard to master if arriving here in the same frame of mind that enabled him to a couple of similar contests at Fontwell without too much fuss within the last month.
