Verdict
ACEY MILAN undoubtedly has questions to answer after his hurdling debut defeat when odds-on at Ffos Las. Three times a winning bumper including two at Listed level and fourth when favourite for the championship bumper at Cheltenham, he was beaten by a horse making his debut under Rules so will need to do much better. Breaking Waves won a Huntingdon bumper, when today's rival Third Wind was three lengths behind, before a very good third in a Cheltenham bumper in October and has a smart pedigree for jumping while Kapdad has been finding the ground too quick since reappearing over timber though he was a long way behind the selection in a Wincanton bumper. The likes of Coastal Drift, Dusky Hercules and Fly To Mars are likely improvers in time.
