Verdict

This will be a real test of stamina under the conditions and, what can only be a tentative vote goes to Secret Drinker, who gets the verdict over Here Comes Henry and Captain Clooney. The last mentioned will not mind the going and showed signs of a return to form here last time so is entitled to be thereabouts, while Here Comes Henry is gradually slipping to an attractive mark. Robert Alner's gelding finished behind the selection here last time though and is fancied to do so again with Secret Drinker one of the least exposed runners in the line up. John Upson's Regal River is capable of taking a hand off his current mark but has failed to complete in his last two starts and is difficult to recommend. Court Leney has more to do than when winning at Fakenham last time and a bigger threat may come from Moral Support, who has been given a great chance by the handicapper. However, he is another that was beaten behind Secret Drinker here last time and we take Oliver Sherwood's gelding to come out on top again.
