Gannicus has run here only twice before. He was placed in September and brought down when prominent in November so deserves a change of luck. FIRST QUEST will have needed last month’s run at Market Rasen but still wasn’t disgraced. Today’s better ground will also suit Jim Boyle’s charge, who has the in-form Robbie Dunne doing the steering. Argyle is still 8lb higher than when successful over track and trip a year ago but has been going well over hurdles and on the Flat at Lingfield recently while Stonecoldsoba was back to his best at Leicester. Mr Jack is preferred to Telegraph Place and Oden of the others.
