Noble Future showed his first signs of ability last time but that coincided with his first run on good ground so today's conditions have to be a major concern. In light of that, we'll take a chance with Funny Fellow. If Noble Future runs to the form of his second to Your Amount then he should be hard to beat and even the form of his fifth at Taunton on his penultimate start is working out quite well. He may still be good enough to win this despite appearing to need good ground to show his best. He's likely to be short enough though so we'll take a chance with Funny Fellow who reverts to hurdling after a fall at Leicester. He's no star but he can be a given a squeak on a couple of pieces of his hurdling form and he appears to handle the ground well enough. Barodine has had eleven starts but has looked an improved performer over hurdles of late; soft ground would be a major concern for him though and he's opposable. Mon Chevalier does handle soft ground and this is his easiest opportunity to date over hurdles so he could well get into the mix whilst Flanagans Choice should be all the better for her debut experience but we'll give a tentative nomination to Funny Fellow.
