Verdict
Jack Dawson has been found another soft race and it will be a major surprise if John Berry's charge cannot follow up his Southwell success last month. The TEAMtalk selection acts well on the forecast good to firm going as he showed when bounding clear for an effortless victory and this useful staying Flat handicapper, who has won twice on the level this term, should have too much class for inferior rivals despite his penalty. Newton Commanche was understandably outclassed in a valuable Cheltenham bumper in April but had hinted at ability previously and looks the one for the forecast ahead of Gotham who has shown nothing in bumpers and returns from a near nine-month absence.
