In depth
Verdict
Blasket Sound looks fairly weighted for the first time in a long while and has the experience to land this tricky contest for trainer David Wintle. A look back at his previous efforts shows winning form on this surface and around this distance. He may prove hard to beat. Mick Fitzgerald is a positive jockey booking on Major Shark who won well last time out having made a couple of mistakes. He has a seven pound penalty to contend with here but he should go well if handling the expected bottomless surface. King Triton has been running well without much luck of late and this step back in trip could suit. Proven on this ground he could surprise some of the more fancied runners. Leith Hill Star ran his best race at this trip at Taunton last year and has shown he handles this surface. He could be an outsider to consider for his in-form stable
