It's Rumoured looks the pick in this race with Ede's and Hansomelle sought as the most likely alternatives. It's Rumoured tends to put up his better performances at this time of the year and with the cheekpieces reapplied this afternoon, it is hoped that they can reawaken his enthusiasm for the task. Ede's is in good heart at present. A winner of races at Plumpton and Warwick in recent weeks, he couldn't be in better form approaching this assignment. Hansomelle is tried in blinkers. She should be fit having had a recent spin on the level. Mount Benger has shown form around this circuit and can go well at a price.
