Verdict
Royal Hector took advantage of a lenient handicap mark to win impressively last week and can follow up today at the expense of Tomasino and Avas Delight. Martin Pipe's gelding was always moving easily when beating Come Bye by an eased down two and a half lengths. The trainer brings him out very quickly and he is hard to oppose in this mood. According to his trainer, Tomasino got fed up with racing on the flat and has been rejuvenated by his jumps campaign. He got off the mark at Kelso and then wasn't disgraced in a big field handicap last time. He does looks little high in the weights but should still be capable of reaching the frame. Avas Delight has a squeak on his best form and Pardishar should go well despite top-weight, but there looks to be a lot more to come from Royal Hector who is our confident choice
