Peveril Pride makes a quick return to the track and can regain the winning thread, Strolling Vagabond and Jim Lad may be the ones to chase him home. Jonathan Geake's gelding ran well at Ludlow last week when going down by a length and three-quarters to Tank Buster. There were some solid handicap performers well behind that day and a repeat effort should be good enough in this easier contest. Strolling Vagabond hit winning form at Fontwell last month and this out and out stayer should be involved in the finish again this afternoon. Jim Lad hasn't been jumping too well this season but has strong claims on the pick of his past performances. The rest have plenty of questions to answer and so we return to Peveril Pride, who looks to be the safest option in a modest event.
