In depth

Verdict

Neil Mulholland enjoyed one of the biggest wins of his fledgling career on Saturday and BAN UISCE can keep the bandwagon rolling on by making a winning reappearance. The lightly raced hurdler may not be in the same class as Midnight Chase but he progressed well in similar contests under testing conditions last season, goes well for Mark Quinlan and can go on to further success. Across The Straits is worth a market check on debut for a new yard, Doctored's best form gives him claims but Ghaill Force may find that the conditions will be too testing for him and it's not that easy to enthuse about the chances of Monash Lad and Wheres Johnny so, on the face of it, this looks to be a decent opportunity for the top-weight.
