    Verdict

GLIMPSE OF GOLD completed an early-season hat-trick on good going and is only 2lb higher than his last winning mark. He had the favourite Sergeant behind when runner-up here last month and should confirm the form. Mark Of Gold scored twice over the track and trip at the beginning of the year and at Newbury in April. He prefers some cut in the ground so further rain would aid his cause. Overpriced Mixer looked a smart prospect in his novice days but hasn't run since March last year while the four-year-old Tara Iti, who scored twice here earlier this year, may just need this after a long break.
