In depth

Verdict

LANDIN, a winner on the Flat in Germany, ran in top company over hurdles last season including a very fair effort in the Triumph Hurdle. He didn't have much to beat on his reappearance at Worcester and only scrambled home but Seamus Mullins' conditional Daniel Sansom is good value for his claim and a double looks on the cards. Book of Gold showed promise in bumpers but was beaten a distance on his hurdling debut while Tikkanbar won two very soft bumpers at Sedgefield and Hereford before finding Grade 2 company too much at Aintree though he wasn't disgraced. Bold Image has the mares' allowance and was impressive in a Fontwell bumper though that was over a year ago while Mickieblueeyes, who made a successful bumper debut here in February of last year, finished tailed off on his hurdling bow at Lingfield.
