Verdict
The action gets underway with the first division of a weak event that should take little winning and the vote goes to Forest Tune. Ben Hanbury's charge disappointed on his last attempt over hurdles but has since run creditably in useful company on the all-weather and can gain his first win over timber on ground which will hold no terrors. Gin Palace showed a decent level of ability in novice events before tackling handicaps and this represents a significant ease in grade. Gary Moore's charge handles the conditions and is a leading contender while Our Imperial Bay faced a hopeless task on his hurdling bow behind the classy Saintsaire at Newbury and will find this level of opposition much more to his liking. Neither Misty Future or Ishandraz have shown much over timber to date but both represent top yards and it would be unwise to dismiss their claims entirely.
