Verdict
The meeting gets underway with a typically open Showcase handicap featuring a number of in-form rivals but Little Sport is taken to concede weight all round. Andy Scott's charge has proved a model of consistency having already scored twice here in novice company earlier in the season. The son of Moscow Society has acquitted himself well in defeat of late and put up a particularly good effort when a close second in handicap grade at Ayr late last month. The six-year-old stays well and is fully effective in the prevailing testing ground so should give another good account off a fair mark. Wildfield Rufo confirmed earlier promise when landing a novice at Ayr last time and will handle the conditions but this represents a tougher assignment while recent course and distance winner Sireric races from 3lb out of the handicap. Robbo faced a stiff task in the Great Yorkshire Chase last time and ran accordingly and is better judged on January's convincing Doncaster victory. Mary Reveley's charge will appreciate the ease in grade and is respected while A Few Bob Back failed to handle desperate ground last time but has place claims if reproducing earlier efforts.
