In depth
Verdict
Local trainers have a good record in this contest and Boardroom Dancer is fancied to continue that record for last year's winning trainer Suzy Smith; Kiltimoney looks the most obvious danger. Despite racing from 7lbs out of the handicapper today, Boardroom Dancer has a good chance on the pick of his runs. Now 11 years old, this is his time of year and having won off a mark of 88 before (effectively racing off 89 today) he must be feared especially if allowed to have an easy lead. Kiltimoney is a course and distance winner and he has been holding his form fairly well since his only success. His second last time out looks solid. Tanterari has winning course form and a decent strike-rate but his recent form has been woeful; a comment that can also apply to Arctic Reason. Celebrity Call is unexposed over fences and his profile may attract more interest than some of his rivals, whilst Georges Boy is very inconsistent. An open race however Boardroom Dancer can come out on top.
