Verdict

Romney Marsh knows where the winning post is here, as she proved over course and distance last month. Roger Curtis' mare is unlikely to be far away again while Midnight Belle won at Ludlow before finishing third at Taunton and can't be ignored under a decent 7lb claimer. Old Dreams would also have a chance on her best form while a case could be made for Lady From Geneva and Marie Deja La but Egretta Island appears to have lost her way. MIDNIGHT LIRA is still a maiden but she was beaten less than five lengths by the in-form Jupiter Rex at Taunton last time and a repeat of that run would put her back in the firing-line here. Little Roxy often makes the frame but usually at a lower level than this.
