In depth

Verdict

A trappy maiden hurdle gets proceedings underway but the principals look to be Simba Sun, Souriceau and Stagehand and the narrow vote is given to Stagehand. The selection was a fair second behind Foreign King last time out, that form looks solid and with improvement likely he looks the one to be on. Simba Sun rates the main danger as he hails from a yard that has already had winners in this sphere and he should be closely watched in the market. Souriceau is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Lemon Silk. He looks sure to improve and will not be far away. Of the remainder Directa's Digger was a fair fourth behind Dr Mcfab last time and is another with place claims but in a race where the market will be very informative for the winner we return to Stagehand.
