Verdict
Surefast and Autumn Mist could be the two to focus on here, with the vote going to Surefast. The selection is having a good time of things, having won two of his last three starts. Admittedly, his latest race did not take much winning but, that said, he could hardly have won more easily and looks set to go well again. The River Joker's form of late has hardly sent out encouraging signals but Pewter Light got a win under his belt at Hereford last time, although that was in a modest race and he has been raised seven pounds for the win. Copper Shell is also seven pound higher in the ratings than for his Folkestone win in November, although he has won here, but his three runs at the track subsequent to that win hardly make for compelling reading. Finally, Autumn Mist is now five pounds higher in the ratings than for his course and distance success here two runs ago. He disappointed last time but had been generally consistent in the lead up to that win and, at a track he clearly handles, can go well. However, for the winner we return to Surefast.
