    Verdict

    Canford Bay has won eight times, the latest on this track just over a year ago from 10lb higher. The three-year-old Stay Smart has won at a higher level in his own age group and has run in slightly better company the last twice. Paul Midgley has two entries but Buniann has only won on the all-weather so far. The veteran VAN GERWEN is arriving in top form having won comfortably here 10 days ago for which a 4lb penalty may not prevent a follow-up. East Street Revue had been running well before a surprise victory at Haydock and has only been raised 3lb so has to be a threat.
