        Verdict

        It was soft going when Pioneering won last year’s renewal. He’s back on the same mark now but is drawn wide today with headgear applied while Newmarket Warrior was winning for the first time on Turf in 26 attempts when successful at Ayr recently and could also have been luckier with the draw. EDGAR ALLAN POE is a course and distance winner and returned to winning ways at Hamilton a fortnight ago with a cosy two-length success. He could be the one to side with in this given Gabrial's Kaka would prefer faster going and Bezos has yet to win on Turf.
