Verdict
The Polytrack was probably to blame for War Eagle’s poor run at Kempton and he could be well handicapped. Majestic Mac never looked like winning at Newbury after scoring at Epsom but this looks easier. Aspire Tower and John Betjeman continue to threaten while Dark Thunder has been placed in five on his eight starts, including twice off this mark in handicaps. DIVINE GIFT clearly appreciated the step up to a mile at Carlisle and could have more to offer having had just the three starts. He’s preferred to Gallic and the exposed Max Guevara.
