Verdict
Edgar Allen Poe has a 5lb penalty for landing an amateurs' race over the course and distance last week, when Quoteline Direct was 6l behind, and is now on his highest ever mark. Champagne Rules won here in May and though that was over 1m4f he'd twice scored over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton over the winter. TRINITY STAR loves it around here and though up 2lb for finishing second at Newcastle Laura Coghlan's claim takes care of the extra and Karen McLintock's grey can gain his seventh victory. Kingdom Brunel is 0-8 but has been staying on over a mile while Bay Of Naples also steps up in trip having won twice on the all-weather over a mile. Rose Crown started out in bumpers and may find this on the short side.
