Verdict
The Meter won a novices' race at Chelmsford in October but was beaten a long way on a return visit in January. Many of these are unexposed though Conundrum progressed throughout his first campaign culminating in a fair placed effort on this track. Beaufort's best run was on heavy ground at Ayr and he won't have those conditions here while Diviner won twice in the early part of last season, though both over the minimum trip. George Mallory has shown potential and starts out in handicaps on a lowly mark but a tricky race for punter's to solve can go to SEVEN FOR A POUND as he showed gradual improvement in all three starts and is bred to be much better than he's shown to date.
