Verdict
Massarra scored in decisive fashion at Newmarket last time and is one to consider now that the ground has come up in her favour. She escapes any sort of penalty for that success and should go close to following up here. Marika and Roundtree are also up to playing a strong hand on the pick of their form but the former picks up a 4lb burden for winning a Listed race at Haydock in June and looks to face an uphill task here. Whereas the latter has not shown great consistency and despite being closely matched with Massara on a line through Affaire Royale, she is not one to rely on too heavily when push comes to shove. French raider Inventing Paradise is obviously the potential spoiler in the field, but the daughter of Mr Prospector has been well held in both her outings this season ¿ albeit in decent company ¿ and still has it all to prove on her first visit to sunny Pontefract. Vita Spericolate holds Bright Edge on their recent Ascot meeting but she has also let her supporters down on occasions and may find Massara, the TEAMtalk selection, to be too good on the day
