The lightly raced filly STRAIGHT SETS is the pick to land this handicap after a solid handicap debut at Salisbury where she stayed appeared to get tapped for toe at a vital stage before staying on once again in the closing stages. Up only 1lb for that, she should be in the shake-up and a low draw will also benefit. Shotley Mac bids for the hat-trick here and the use of aggressive tactics has resulted in much improved form from Neville Bycroft's charge. This contest is much tougher to the one he won last time. Effigy is now 3lb worse off with Straight Sets having beaten the selection 1 1/2 lengths at Salisbury. Effigy looked a frustrating sort coming into that race but travelled up very smoothly in that race. He did recieve an enterprising ride from his young rider there and will not get things as easy on the front end here. Nesno drops back to one mile having won on the all-weather last time . His wide draw will make things difficult for him here while recent course and distance winner Ours is another to merit consideration. Straight Sets is taken to reverse Salisbury form with Effigy and win the finale.
