A 6lb rise may not prevent Sharp Sovereign completing a hat-trick here for David Barron but this is a competitive event and the percentage call is to take on the four-year-old with RALEIGH QUAY. Micky Hammond has his string in good form and champion elect Paul Hanagan has been booked for the job on this gelding who has been runner-up on his two most recent runs over shorter trips. The step up to this stiff 10f is likely to suit and he can go one better today. Scarab arrives in good form and sees this trip out well.
