Verdict
DOCTOR PARKES has never won off a mark this high in a long career but he's in such good form that he is handed the vote, especially as he goes so well on fast ground. Flash City very nearly gained his first success on Turf on his 20th start at Beverley but found Ziggy Lee too strong in the closing stages. He should go well along with Perfect Blossom, the only course and distance winner in the line-up. Captain Dunne generally performs at a higher level and his last venture into this class resulted in a narrow defeat at York off a 4lb higher mark so he has to be of interest despite a big weight.
