Verdict

TOR may have failed to handle a 6lb rise last time for a previous Hamilton success but only went down in the closing stages by half a length with the remainder well beaten. He's been left on the same mark for that run and looks to have a decent chance here, especially if Joe Fanning is allowed a soft lead. Arrowtown is the one to note in the market as he's only had a couple of runs since last October but has shown promise in both and it would not surprise to see the course and distance winner go close. Appointed is respected down to a more appealing mark and makes the shortlist along with Desert Ruler. Armandihan is proving frustrating but continues to suggest he is capable of landing an ordinary northern handicap.
