Verdict
A typically tricky Listed affair, and a chance is taken that former Godolphin runner FAIRMILE can win for the first time for his new trainer Ian Williams, with Furmigadelagiusta and All the Aces, others to note. The last named is the highest rated, but he was a beaten favourite on his re-appearance and prefers softer ground. He is likely to go off a false price. Furmigadelagiusta is progressive but despite an impressive York success on his latest start, he too prefers an easier surface. He is improving however and respected. Fairmile, in contrast to most of his rivals, enjoys quick ground. Although he has failed to add to his winning tally for a couple of years, his run when an unlucky close fourth in a Group contest at Chester suggests he is no back number. Fairmile is a quirky type, but can win here at a nice price.
