Verdict

Global Spirit finished ahead of On The River when third at Beverley last time but the top weight had no luck in-running. He has already won here and at Nottingham and Beverley this year so is suited by a stiff track, though has a poor draw in this. Tele Red continues in fine form, despite a rising mark, but the penny dropped with MOUNT KING at Thirsk at the start of the month and a 3lb rise should be manageable. Mexicali Rose had a nice confidence-booster at Chepstow while Mother Mary and Dubawi Warrior are even less exposed with the latter tried in cheekpieces after an unexplained loss of form at Hamilton.
