      Verdict

      Becky The Thatcher came out best in a scrap for the line with Graceful Lady over 2m1f here last time with WIND PLACE AND SHO back in fourth. It’s a close call between the first two once again but the latter won this race in 2016 off a 10lb higher mark and may surprise them both. It’s remarkable that Suegioo has not won a race since victorious in the 2014 Chester Cup but that’s still the case having finished a close-up fourth back at Chester last time while Frederic could only manage fourth in last year’s renewal having won here before that. Medicine Hat’s course and distance success came back in 2015 while Cool Macavity’s recent second came in a seller over 1m6f.
