Verdict

Ryan Moore is an eye-catching booking for Paul Cole's IN THE SLIPS, who still is potentially well treated on just his second handicap start after victory on his first attempt in these ranks with Miss Smilla remaining a danger and Miss Whippy looking the best of the rest. Two and a quarter lengths was the margin of victory for our selection on her handicap bow last time and she kept going in a manner to suggest this step up to a mile will suit. She will be saddled with an extra nine pounds on her back but she beat a well handicapped subsequent winner into second last time so we suggest she is still weighted fairly. Miss Smilla now looks under a light weight with a pound removed after a good run in defeat last time on her handicap debut and with her pilot removing a further five. The from has begun to work out from that run so she should be prominent come the end. Miss Whippy has had two runs in sellers so far and seems competitively treated on her first sphere after victory in her latest attempt while Knockenduff ran well off this mark last time so needs respecting. This looks a tight fillies' nursery with In The Slips just catching our vote.
