Verdict

Maleficent Queen completed her hat-trick when stepped-up to this trip at Ayr and undoubtedly hasn't stopped improving. All four of Empress Ali's victories have come on ground with some give so some rain would aid her cause on her comeback but this can go to ENGAGE. Sir Michael Stoute's 160,000gns filly made a successful debut over a mile at Doncaster then found 7f on very fast ground against her in the Tattersalls Millions at Newmarket - her pedigree suggests she's much more likely to be suited by middle-distances. Deodoro landed a Beverley maiden on fast ground then ran well on easier going at Windsor while Sagely can step up on her maiden success at Wolverhampton. The latter makes her handicap bow from a fair mark and looks a threat but Cosmic Halo hasn't won since 2014.
