Verdict
Bailieborough is given the nomination in the opener with Dancing King and Countykat put forward as the main dangers. The selection was a little disappointing last time when a beaten favourite at Redcar behind the progressive Samuel Charles. But he had previously shaped as though he was running into form and we are prepared to forgive his latest effort in the hope that he can make amends here. Dancing King rates the main danger as he ran well on his penultimate start over this trip at Warwick when a close second behind Summer Bounty. He will not be far away at the finish although the suspicion is that he is better over a shorter trip than this. Countykat has been well beaten in his last two starts and has the inexperienced Donna Bashton on board, so the percentage call is to oppose him even though he is clearly better than he has shown of late. Of the rest, Lord Conyers shaped encouragingly when dropped in grade on this track last time, and with conditions more to suit he could be very interesting if there is any market support. However, for the winner we return to Bailieborough.
