      In depth

      Verdict

Bucephalus is still a maiden but has dropped just enough to get him into this and his rider's claim should aid his cause. John Jasper is another without a victory and is yet to prove himself on the surface and was behind Irv at Thirsk a couple of weeks ago. The latter is respected but UGO GREGORY started favourite for a better-class race than this on heavy ground at Haydock earlier this month and lost a shoe. He's only 3lb higher than when landing a heavy-ground handicap at Ayr in October and can get back to winning ways. Oud Metha Bridge has won on heavy ground over the trip but six-times winner Mustaqbal might just need this after a long break.
