In depth

Verdict

PAGAN improves with every start and missed out by only a short-head at Yarmouth. Further progress is likely with a tongue-tie fitted today and the Haggas charge can go one better. Verreaux Eagle beat little when landing the odds in a novices race at Carlisle last time but an apprentice’s allowance gives Et Tu Brute the edge over Macho Pride and Bannow on today’s terms, though the Redcar maiden winner Runninwild is less exposed.
