Verdict

De Name Escapes Me came out of the point-to-point field to gain a surprise victory in a Clonmel bumper in February. He could prove smart over hurdles though quick ground could prove a problem. Klinnsman was beaten less than a length when fourth on good ground at Tipperary and will handle the conditions better than most, as will Easter Hunt, whose best run came when runner-up on firm going at Wexford last summer. Myles Ahead has to be considered despite being a beaten favourite at Kilbeggan where he couldn't find a finishing burst on the run-in. Pack The Punch has also been looking a little one-paced so the vote goes to SANDYMOUNT DUKE. Jessica Harrington's charge, a winning bumper over this trip in September, attempted to make all over the minimum over hurdles here last month but couldn't repel the strongly-fancied Limini and with this trip sure to suit he can go one better.
