Verdict

RATHNALEEN KAL, narrowly beaten at Tipperary in April, went up 6lb after going one better at Clonmel and a mistake two out put paid to his chances at Limerick. He'll get a good ride from Maxine O'Sullivan and looks the one to beat. Mica Malpic is better known as a chaser these days and has a long absence to overcome though won't mind the ground. The maiden Fancy A Cosmo was beaten narrowly in a claimer here last time but was conceding 23lb to the winner so isn't out of this. Another maiden, Warm In Gorey, has been narrowly beaten in two of his last three starts so wouldn't be winning out of turn. Custers Mistake was engaged in the 5.25 here yesterday.
