Verdict

Judex Lefou showed no improvement for his debut run when well beaten here last month so unless there is something decent among the newcomers this should concern only GUN MERCHANT and Watch Guard. The former was having his first start for a year when staying on strongly behind Rocket Lad at Tramore and the much more experienced Lisa O'Neill takes over the reins. He's given the nod over Watch Guard, who led for a long way at Kilbeggan but couldn't quicken when the front pair went past. The market should tell us more about the newcomers but Good Reception is a half-brother to the useful Curley Bill and is one to keep an eye on.
