Verdict

Willie Mullins would have had plenty of options for this so the fact he is running the four-year-old A PENNY A HUNDRED after victories in a bumper and a Limerick maiden is significant. The stable also run Clonmel maiden winner Mount Sinai, another stepping up significantly in class. Another youngster, Mayor‘s Walk, was put in her place by Smooth Tom at Naas but Mel Monroe has come up against a couple of smart ones since an impressive maiden victory at Downpatrick. Banntown Girl won a handicap here by 19 lengths before a fine effort in a Down Royal Grade 3 when Jetara was a long way behind, though the latter showed that running to be all wrong when landing a Fairyhouse maiden by 16 lengths.
