This has been won by some useful types in the past including Captain Cee Bee and START ME UP should join the list. Charlie Swan's charge, a bumper winner at Galway and Cheltenham around this time last year, has disappointed so far over timber, especially when beaten on his return at Roscommon, but he's generally competed at a high level and won't get many better chances. Mackeys Forge looked useful when landing a Ballinrobe bumper in May and should have finished closer on his next start a couple of weeks later. He has a jumping pedigree and should make a hurdler but a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Prima Vista, who landed a Down Royal bumper on his debut before being narrowly beaten when a very short-priced favourite over hurdles here and at Naas. Bachelor Lad and Crom Abu have both shown a little promise but would need to make further progress to get involved.
