    In depth

Jett has had five starts here and never won but Some Neck won a Grade 2 on the track last November so shouldn't be discounted. He finished a long way behind Dounikos in the Grand National Trial here in February though that was over 3m4f and the winner pulled up at Aintree and in the Irish National. He's one of four Gigginstown entries with stable companion Alpha Des Obeaux looking the pick of the pair with Jack Kennedy on board though his overall form falls just short of BALKO DES FLOS. Henry De Bromhead's charge, last year's Ryanair winner at Cheltenham, has run in eight consecutive Grade 1's chasing home the likes of Kemboy and Min so will find this much more to his liking. Tout Est Permis was in excellent form last winter, completing a hat-trick in a Thurles Grade 2 before well beaten in the Irish National.

Jett (IRE) 16-1 (11-8) Close up and disputed, slight mistake and headed 7th, challenged entering straight, ridden in 5th and mistake 3 out, soon no extra, 7th of 8, 27 1/4l behind Snow Falcon (11-8) at Gowran Park 2m 4f (1) Yielding in Oct.

Some Neck (FR) 11-1 (10-11) Pushed along briefly early, chased leaders, 7th after 3rd, not fluent jumping from 8th onwards, dropped to 9th from 10th, no extra from 4 out, pulled up straight, at Listowel 3m hcp Yielding in Sep.

Tout Est Permis (FR) 16-1 (11-7) Mid-division early, 11th after 12th, closed 5 out, 6th before next, no extra from before straight, 8th of 30, dist behind Burrows Saint (10-8) at Fairyhouse 3m 5f Good - Yielding in Apr.

Alpha Des Obeaux (FR) 2-1 (11-8) Led, ridden and strongly pressed 2 out, headed before last, kept on same pace in 2nd run-in, 2nd of 6, 3 1/2l behind Rathvinden (11-8) at Fairyhouse 3m 1f (1) Good - Yielding in Feb.

Balko Des Flos (FR) 20-1 (11-7) Went left 1st, prominent, tracked winner after 7th, poised to challenge from 4 out, still every chance 2 out, soon ridden, 2 lengths down when blundered badly last, no chance with winner after, lost 2nd final strides, 3rd of 6, 9 1/4l behind Kemboy (11-7) at Aintree 3m 1f (1) gs in Apr.

Dounikos (FR) 33-1 (11-6) Mid-division early, no danger 16th, pulled up 6 out, at Fairyhouse 3m 5f Good - Yielding in Apr.
