In depth

Verdict

Foildubh was beaten just over three lengths by Bob Lingo at Fairyhouse but was conceding 7lb and can take his revenge over this longer trip. Carrigmartin took advantage of a lenient handicap mark over hurdles at Cork and isn't quite so well in over fences but Osana ran well in this last year and has only had two subsequent runs. He's definitely on the short-list as is Raptor, who pulled up in the Irish National last time, but this can go to TRANQUIL SEA. Edward O'Grady's charge has been a fantastic servant to the stable having won a dozen races. He rarely runs in handicaps these days and already has two Grade 2 events to his credit this season so this big weight shouldn't be much of a problem.
