Verdict

Not the strongest maiden hurdle on paper unless an unraced contender comes to the fore. Of those who may do so, Jessica Harrington's three-time winner on the level, Shona Mea, and Gavin Cromwell's dual-winning French import, Galactica, look the likeliest. However, MITIVA makes decent appeal with hurdling experience to call upon. She landed a Thurles bumper in some style in February and did well to come home third of 17 on hurdling debut at Cork considering she was very unprofessional over her obstacles. She should be all the better for the experience and is preferred to a pair of interesting bumper winners in Beyond Ambitious and Lizlucky.
